Following God One Yes at a Time with Jessica McInnis
In this episode of Table Talks, Kay Woodward sits down with Jessica McInnis for an honest and powerful conversation about faith, calling, and learning to follow God one step at a time.
Jessica’s story is anything but ordinary. From a childhood sense that Africa would one day be part of her life, to years in ministry, to walking through a deeply disorienting season where she felt like she completely lost her sense of God’s presence, her journey has been marked by courage, questions, and unexpected turns.
After adopting her daughter from Uganda, Jessica and her family eventually made the bold decision to move there. What began as a simple desire to be obedient has grown into something far bigger than she imagined. Through a new initiative called Gemma, Jessica and a group of local women are creating reusable menstrual kits that restore dignity for girls and women while also creating jobs and opportunity in their community.
In this conversation, Jessica shares about the three-year “dark night of the soul” that reshaped her faith, the moment forgiveness changed everything, and what it looks like to trust God even when the path forward feels uncertain.
This episode is for anyone who has ever wrestled with doubt, felt a nudge from God they didn’t fully understand, or wondered what could happen if they simply kept saying “yes.”
