Right Where You Need to Be — with Manouchka Charles

This episode of Table Talks was recorded live at our Flourish Conference in Albuquerque and features a powerful, honest conversation with Manouchka Charles, teaching pastor at Vous Church in Miami.

Manouchka shares her journey from growing up in church as the daughter of Haitian parents in Brooklyn to saying yes to an internship that brought her to Miami with no clear blueprint. We talk about calling, identity, finding your voice, and how God often uses small, unseen moments to prepare us for what’s ahead.

She also opens up about a life-altering car accident in 2018 that forced her into a season of waiting, rest, and deep trust in God. Through recovery and uncertainty, Manouchka reflects on Sabbath, resilience, and how God produces fruit even in seasons that feel slow or hidden.

One of the most meaningful parts of this conversation is our discussion on singleness—not as a problem to fix, but as a season to steward well. Manouchka shares the heart behind her message “Singleness Is a Piece of Cake,” reminding us not to treat any season of life as a throwaway.

We also talk about:

• Embracing seasons you don’t love

• Gratitude and remembering what God has done

• Why you shouldn’t wait to start your life

• Preparing now for doors God may open later

• The scripture anchoring Manouchka in this season (Ezekiel 47)

• What we hope our lives will say when our words fade.

Whether you were in the room at Flourish or you’re listening for the first time, my prayer is that this conversation encourages you to trust what God is doing—right where you are.
